![]() In the morning after the final day of primaries, Hillary Clinton made a slight dig at Barack Obama in front of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee meeting in Washington, D.C. Subtly mocking the Illinois Senator's rhetoric of attacking lobbying groups and subsequently the First Amendment, Senator Clinton said:
Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama also spoke earlier in front of AIPAC, the largest American pro-Israeli lobbying group. During the gathering, Hillary Clinton also mentioned the United Nations World Conference Against Racism held in Durban, South Africa in 2001. This event was attended by leaders including Kofi Annan, Jesse Jackson, Yasser Arafat, and Fidel Castro. Prior to this event, a resolution was drawn equating Zionism with racism. This resolution was later withdrawn from the conference. Hillary Clinton condemned the anti-Semitic statements made during the first Durban Conference. Today, in front of AIPAC she said:
'Durban 2', will be held in Geneva, Switzerland in April 2009. The United States is listed as one of the countries contemplating boycotting the conference.
