Sunday Morning Mashup of NBC MEET THE PRESS:
DAVID AXELROD
April 20, 2008
Barack Obama's chief strategist, David Axelrod, admits that his campaign is not all positive.
"Our negative view is not of Hillary Clinton, our negative view is of the politics of Washington. It's broken, it has to be fixed, and you can't do that when you wink and nod at the very practices that are essentially corrupting the system and making it difficult to get anything done."

DICK DURBIN
April 20, 2008
Illinois Senator, Dick Durbin, says that Obama will not allow the Republicans to define him.
"When it comes to all these comments behind closed doors, we're living in this YouTube era now, where almost anything can be taped and played back, that's the reality of political campaigning. But I can tell you this, after the last debate, after all of the comments back and forth, Senator Barack Obama is not going to allow the Republican party to define him. He is going to make it clear what he stands for, what his values are and when you take a look at that rally Friday night in Philadelphia, 35,000 people showed up. That's an amazing turnout, the biggest we've had in our campaign. It's an indication that he's inspiring a lot of people to get involved in politics."

CHUCK SCHUMER
April 20, 2008
New York Senator, Chuck Schumer, argues that the Democratic candidate's handling of the unavoidable Republican attacks is an important quality to factor during this nomination process.
"The key questions here, we know, that the public at this point prefers the Democratic party when it comes to foreign policy when it comes to domestic policy and we know that the Republicans are going to throw at us these diversionary, nasty issues. How you deal with them is an important issue in this campaign, not the most important, but an important issue."

Sunday Morning Mashup of CBS FACE THE NATION:
ED RENDELL
April 20, 2008
Pennsylvania Governor, Ed Rendell says it is "despicable" that the Obama Camp held a press conference call during the campaign's train tour.
"While he's on a train trip talking about 'how we don't have distractions and we're not going to be negative and how negative Senator Clinton is', John Dickerson from Slate wrote on that very train trip, in between stops, they did a conference call in which they did that despicable conference in which this fellow suggested that Senator Clinton couldn't lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier because she was mistaken about Bosnia. As low a blow as I've seen."

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden played host to 45 Brazilian Youth Ambassadors on Friday, Jan. 27, in the NASA Headquarters auditorium, where he delivered an educational outreach presentation. The Brazilians are participating in a three-week U.S. Department of State youth exchange program for outstanding Brazilian public school students. The Department of State requested this special presentation for the Brazilian students as a follow on to the Administrator?s successful outreach activities during his trip to Brazil in October 2011. His presentation to students at the National Institute of Space Research facilities in São José dos Campos was simulcast by the U.S. Embassy and viewed by nearly 3,000 people throughout the country. The Youth Ambassadors are young people in pursuit of academic and professional success who make a difference in their communities through their leadership and volunteer work. As ambassadors, the students also have an opportunity to fulfill a very important mission - to introduce a little bit of Brazil to the United States. Since 2002, the program has benefited some 250 young Brazilians. The Youth Ambassadors Program has now expanded to more than 20 countries in the Western Hemisphere. During the students first week in the United States, Youth Ambassadors visited Washington, D.C. and took part in meetings with government officials, visiting schools and social projects. The young Brazilians strengthened their leadership skills through workshops and lectures during these visits. They then traveled to host states, where they stayed with volunteer families. They attended classes at local schools, took part in volunteer activities, gave presentations about Brazil, and interacted with the community. The program offered a unique opportunity to learn about the U.S. culture and practice English. After their return home, the students will implement community service projects they developed during their exchange program. Image Credit: NASA/Paul Alers...
